I do agree with the author, this is not like other books in the genre. It's kind of dark romance, but not. It's also noir, but not. It does it's own thing and I mean that in the best way possible. I didn't even realize how badly I needed and wanted this book until I started reading it.

Love it and highly recommended.

I just finished reading this book and seriously can't wait for the next one! It was so witty, sarcastic and raw! I loved the in-your-face character flaws of the FMC and felt like at times she was my spirit animal!
