"I just finished reading this book and seriously can't wait for the next one! It was so witty, sarcastic and raw! I loved the in-your-face character flaws of the FMC and felt like at times she was my spirit animal! Two thumbs way up for this book!"

Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions. I have answers.

What genre does Seraphina Black write?

TBH, it wasn't written to fit a specific section on a shelf.

But it has elements of dark romance as well as some noir and suspense. We're talking morally grey characters (particularly the FMC), slow-burn tension, and settings that feel like the city itself has a pulse.
This series is an 18+ trilogy for readers who like their stories on the darker side.

Short version: part dark romance, part noir, all obsession (hers, not his).

Is this dark romance?

Yes, in the general sense that matters. The themes are heavy, the FMC goes places and doesn't walk her choices back.
But, if by dark romance you mean a captor, a stalker, or a mafia boss, then no, this isn't that book. The darkness here is the world, the events, the trauma, and her. It's not the relationship.

So what about the MMC?

He's not soft, insecure, or obsessive. He's actually the only steady thing in a story where nothing else stays still.
He's a guy who sees what she needs, doesn't try to stop her, and definitely doesn't leave.
If you've been waiting for that guy to show up in a darker book, he's here.

Is this a standalone or part of a series?

It's Book One of a series, which is a trilogy.
Each book builds on the last, so reading order will matter.

Will there be content warnings?

100%. Always.
Basic content warnings are listed at the beginning of every book. But if you want to fully know what's in there before you buy, check out the trigger warning page here.

Where can I buy the book?

Right here. This is the official store.
When it launches, you'll be able to grab your copy directly from this site.
Want to be first in line? The VIP list gets early access.

You can get on the VIP early access list here.

How do I stay updated on new releases?

The VIP list is the best way. You'll get early access to well, pretty much everything before anyone else.

Get access here.

Does you accept returns or exchanges?

Due to the nature of digital and print products, all sales are final. This is fairly standard across indie publishing.
If something goes wrong with your order, get in touch and we'll sort it out together.

The Author Behind The Series

Seraphina Black writes the kind of books that keep you up past 3 a.m. and make you question your own moral compass by morning.
